Goin'...Gone to Jackson...

We had a blast on our recent trip to Jackson, MS, to the Mississippi Market! It was a trip of some great mother-daughter time, learning a few new things, reconnecting with old friends, establishing new relationships and most important -- lots of laughter!!

On the way up I had so much fun listening to my mom share childhood stories. No doubt she was way before her time! I've decided that her stories would make a perfect book. Next project;). While we work together every day, our market trips are always a special time spent together and I treasure them all!

We've never been to the MS Market, but so glad we did! We reconnected with a dear friend, BJ Hatten. She produces amazing stain glass artwork, North River Studio. Back in day when Blooms was on Hardy Street, BJ would drop by the shop and lay out all her merchandise on the counter and my mom would pick and choose what she could afford -- my how time has flown by and how we all have grown!

With existing and rekindled friendships, we all decided to go for dinner together. Our fun and hilarious group consisted of me and Joyce Hicks of Blooms, BJ Hatten of North River Studio, Catherine Strange of Fearless Entertaining and Lea Margaret, of SoDelta Candle Co. We made a little trip to Babalus -- time spent with amazing food and great friends!

Thank to all who support Mississippi Market!!
